Greater Germantown Housing Development Corporation (GGHDC) is a not-for-profit community development organization that specializes in real estate and economic development. Located in the historic Germantown section of Philadelphia, GGHDC has been redeveloping the real estate in this community since 1977. From single-family homes to large commercial developments, GGHDC's success in the community is unwavering. GGHDC's
development efforts have resulted in the creation of a critical mass
of new activity that has positioned the area for continued positive
growth. GGHDC has gained experience using a wide variety of financial
resources in the development of its projects, including HUD Section
202 Capital Advance, Urban Development Action Grants, PHFA HOMES money
and mortgage financing, tax exempt bonds, low-income housing tax
credits, foundation grants and conventional bank financing. Coupled
with the social supportive service of Germantown
Settlement, we provide a holistic approach to community
development.
